COLLINGWOOD INSTALLER SCHOOL’S OUT COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The Promoter

The promoter is COLLINGWOOD LIGHTING LIMITED (company number: 00900626) of Brooklands House, Sywell, Aerodrome, Wellingborough Road, Sywell, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN6 0BT.

2. The competition

2.1. The title of the competition is the “School’s Out – £500 Up for Grabs!” (or such other name or title as the Promoter may decide, from time to time). 

2.2. During the period 14 July 2025 to 5 September 2025 , UK installer customers who spend more than £100.00 (excluding VAT) on the Promoter’s selected ‘School’s Out’ products, from participant wholesalers (as determined by the Promoter, from time to time), (the “spending allowance”) may enter into a free prize draw. 

2.3. There is one entry per UK installer who meets the spending allowance.

2.4. There is one prize of a £500 Love2shop voucher (the “prize”). 

3. How to enter

3.1. The competition will run from 12.01pm on 14 July 2025 (the "Opening Date") to 12.01pm on 5 September 2025 (the "Closing Date") inclusive, and you must purchase more than £100.00 (excluding VAT) on the Promoter’s selected ‘School’s Out’ products, during such period.

3.2. All entries must be received by the Promoter by email to [email protected] by no later than 12.01pm on 12 September 2025 (the “Submission Date”). All entries received after the Submission Date are automatically disqualified.

3.3. Entrants will require access to the internet and email to be able to enter the competition.

3.4. You will need to enter the competition by email to [email protected] and submitting appropriate receipts and any other acceptable forms of proof of purchase (as determined by the Promoter, at its absolute discretion), to [email protected], by the Submission Date.

3.5. No payment is required to enter the competition.

3.6. The Promoter will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

3.7. By submitting a competition entry, you are expressly agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

4. Eligibility

4.1. The competition is only open to UK installers of the Promoter’s products in the UK, from participant wholesalers (as determined by the Promoter from time to time), aged 18 years or over and residents of the UK; except and expressly exclude:

4.1.1. employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;

4.1.2. employees of agents, distributors or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; 

4.1.3. members of the immediate families or households of conditions 4.1.1 and 4.1.2; 

4.1.4. consumers or members of the public; or

4.1.5. agents, retailers or distributors.

4.2. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. 

4.3. The Promoter may require:

4.3.1. you to provide proof that you are an installer of the Promoter’s products and therefore eligible to enter the competition;

4.3.2. such information and documentation as it considers reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of an entry;

4.3.3. valid receipts and any other proof of purchase (as determined in the Promoter’s absolute discretion) from the winner;

and the prize may be withheld until and unless the Promoter is reasonably satisfied with the verification. 

4.4. The Promoter (and their agents) reserve the right to refuse to accept receipts and any other proof of purchase which are deemed by us to have been tampered with, defaced, duplicated, damaged or which otherwise are suspected to be affected by fraud or which have been lost or stolen following delivery.

4.5. The Promoter will not accept entries, receipts, invoices or proof of purchase that are:

4.5.1. automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence;

4.5.2. completed by third parties or in bulk;

4.5.3. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or

4.5.4. incomplete or there is a discrepancy.

4.6. There is a limit of one entry per installer who meets the spending allowance, and you can only enter the prize draw once. Multiple entries will not be accepted and, if you attempt to enter the competition multiple times, you will be immediately disqualified (at our discretion). 

4.7. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted, and joint submissions are not allowed.

4.8. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

5. The prize and exclusions

5.1. The prize is one £500 Love2shop voucher only.

5.2. This prize is subject to availability. 

5.3. The price may occasionally be withdrawn for reasons outside the Promoter’s control. 

5.4. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.

5.5. There is no cash alternative for the prize and no other form of payment than that indicated in the interaction information will be provided to the winner. 

5.6. The prizes are not negotiable or transferable.

6. The Winner

6.1. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

6.2. The winner will be determined by a random selection process administered by the Promoter.

6.3. The winner will receive details of the prize.

6.4. The Promoter will contact the winner personally, as soon as practicable, after the Submission Date (hopefully within 10 working days of the Submission Date), using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry email. The Promoter will not amend any contact information once the competition entry has been submitted.

6.5. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish the surname and county of the prize winner on www.collingwoodlighting.com before, or as soon as reasonably practicable, following the Submission Date.

6.6. The prize winner’s name and county may be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Collingwood Lighting, Brooklands House, Sywell, Aerodrome, Wellingborough Road, Sywell, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN6 0BT or an email to [email protected] within 60 of days after the date of the Submission Date.

6.7. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at [email protected] . In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

7. Claiming the prize

7.1. If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 30 days from notification by the Promoter that you are the winner to claim and collect the prize. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.

7.2. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on the winner’s behalf.

7.3. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within 30 days notification to the winner they have won, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant selected from entries that were received before the Submission Date.

7.4. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

8. Limitation of liability

8.1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. 

8.2. We shall not be responsible for any additional costs or expenses incurred by the prize winner in relation to the competition.

9. Data protection

The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the www.collingwoodlighting.com/privacy-policy-cookie-restriction-mode.

10. General

10.1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

10.2. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the competition and/or review and revise these terms and conditions at any time (without giving prior notice) and by continuing to take part in the competition subsequent to any revision of these terms and conditions, participants shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms. 

10.3. If any provision of these terms and conditions are held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.

10.4. A failure by the Promoter to enforce any of these terms and conditions in any instance will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any entrant or prize winner, nor shall it be deemed to be a waiver of any of our rights in relation to the same.

10.5. These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in English.
